Under a framework partnership agreement with GEBHARDT Fördertechnik GmbH, LogiSoft Ltd. successfully completed an innovative project for PLASSON in Israel. The project covers the control system of a transport-distribution system based on 24-volt motor rollers, as well as a high-speed stacker crane (ASRS). The transport and distribution system connects the storage area with four operator workstations as well as with further input, output and control sections. The movement of cargo is controlled by means of barcode scanners located at key positions. The stacker crane includes a load handling device capable of simultaneously transporting two load units – either totes or cartons. Accordingly, the rack cells served by the crane are of double depth. The control of both systems is based on the latest generation of SIEMENS industrial automation technology - Failsafe controllers SIMATIC S7-1500. The drive is based on the SINAMICS S120. The basic communication is PROFINET with PROFIdrive and PROFIsafe protocols, and the connection with the motor rollers is realized via AS-Interface with ET200SP master modules. The two PLC control systems are subordinate to a Warehouse Management System (WMS), developed by an Israeli partner of Gebhardt Fördertechnik - Transtech Systems.
Despite the fact that the project was implemented in a very short timeframe and without the possibility of pre-testing in factory conditions, LogiSoft's specialists proved their high class by launching such an innovative project directly in front of the final customer. The system has software control modules with maximum safety for all processes, as well as the possibility of accurate and detailed diagnostics. The end customer receives perfect German mechanics, managed by a quality Bulgarian TIA Portal based PLC software at a competitive price. Operational peace of mind, investment security, flexibility for future expansions and system safety are key benefits.
